The things I look for in a story go in the following order of significance:
1. Storytelling ability 2. Plot 3. Grammar/Spelling
I'll use MS word with tracking changes (comments in the margins and all that). Commentary may tend to the sarcastic side, depending on how much sleep I've gotten. 1wh3o

I'd prefer to read well-edited stories that have an interesting plot. I generally prefer to have read/seen something before I'll read it, but I can work with that.

Excessive spelling/grammar mistakes, major plot holes, etc. Vivid and explicit slash is not always appreciated, but I can work with this.
