Dani ventures out into the rain to look for Jamie and ends up finding more than she expected.

Henry doesn't make it out of Bly alive. Dani and Jamie leave, taking Flora and Miles with them. They create a new life for themselves; a full, happy life. Flora looks back on that life after the ing of one of the people who loved her the most. Perhaps more than even she knew.

"People do, don't they, mix up love and possession." When Dani meets Jamie while in London planning her wedding to Edmund, her life takes a turn she doesn't expect. For the first time, she actually feels something for someone else. She feels safe. She knows this is right. But Edmund does not give up so easily.

Based off of the tumblr OTP Prompt Ask: 86 - "You don't know how to change a tire?" - "Give it a rest, would you?"

She props a note, written carefully and stained with tears, labelled 'Jamie' against a vase that sits on the kitchen counter beside her heart. Then, with shaking hands, Dani lifts her backpack up onto her shoulders and takes one final look around the only place she's ever really felt at home.

Jamie leaves Flora's weeding more wrapped up in her thoughts than usual. In all those years, there hadn't been a day without thinking of her deceased lover Dani. But sometimes, once in a blue goddamn moon, events coincide in an exceptional, odd way.

And so, whenever Dani sees her, the Lady in the Lake, and flinches away terrified, Jamie's there. Right where she's meant to be. Keeping Dani safe as best she can and reminding her that she isn't alone. Reminding her that she'll never be alone, not so long as Jamie still draws breath and even then… Well. Dead doesn't mean gone.
